Utah Cacti

These were all taken along Interstate Highway 15 between Saint George and the Virgin River Gorge. The cactus in the featured image is commonly called whipple cholla. 🌵

This and the next two shots are of golden prickly pear.
These first two shots have the flowers in full bloom which tend to produce stunningly colorful petals.
The flowers that hadn’t bloomed in the above photo appear to visibly be a much darker shade which is more evident from this shot.
This looks to be another variety of prickly pear; perhaps one of those typically referred to as the pancake or plains form of prickly pear.
